Oppose. The full name provides a WP:TITLECON consistent naming convention across all articles on universities and colleges in the United States. Many reliable sources like Forbes and US News and World Report still use the full name. The OP has also made numerous individual RMs on this same issue like this one, which may violate WP:ACROTITLE or use a shorter common name that is rarely used outside a sports/athletic context. Please adjust the name in lead paragraph

Out of state and international students are getting very confused between our university and Buffalo State University. It would be very helpful to them if you applied the same phrasing as people have used for Stony Brook and Virginia Tech where the preferred and most commonly used variant is listed first, followed by the acronym and legal name; e.g. "The University at Buffalo (UB), officially the State University of New York at Buffalo...".
